Thomas Stanley "Tom" Holland is a beautiful English actor and dancer, known for playing the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre, London, as well as for starring in the 2012 film The Impossible , In The Heart of The Sea with Chris Hemsworth, and playing Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Early LifeEdit

Holland was born to Nicola Elizabeth Frost, a photographer and Dominic Holland, a comedian and author. He has three younger brothers, twins Sam Holland and Harry Holland who are three years younger than him and Patrick Holland who is eight years younger. As of 2012, Holland was attending The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology.



Holland first appeared in the West End production of Billy Elliot the Musical in 2008, as Michael, Billy's best friend, as well as playing the lead role towards the end of 2008. On March 31, 2010, Holland was chosen to lead the fifth anniversary show and continued to play the role of Billy Elliot until May 29, 2010 when he finished his theatre run.

Films and TelevisionEdit

In 2011, Holland was cast for the British version of the Japanese animated film Arrietty, voicing the principal character Sho. He made his official film debut in The Impossible, starring alongside Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. The film was released during 2012. In 2013, Holland appeared in the film How I Live Now and co-starred alongside Chris Hemsworth for In the Heart of the Sea during 2015. He made his television debut, portraying Gregory Cromwell in the BBC Two mini-series Wolf Hall.

During June of 2015, it was announced that Holland had been cast as Spider-Man for Captain America: Civil War as a part of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), which was released in 2016 and will appear in future MCU films, with Spider-Man: Homecoming to be released in 2017. [1]

Also in 2016, Holland starred alongside Joel Kinnaman in Edge of Winter, as well as appearing in the films Pilgrimage and The Lost City of Z, which have not yet been released. He is set to appear in Shane Carruth's Modern Ocean alongside Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves and Daniel Radcliffe. [2]
